Davidson College

Intro to Fly Fishing

For beginning fly fishing enthusiasts (though intermediate and advanced fly fisherman will probably learn something!). Introduction and development of the basic skills and knowledge needed to navigate one through a day of fly fishing on inland creeks, streams, rivers, ponds and lakes.

Minimal online prep-work and participation in class are required.

There are three optional day-trips (Davidson Lake Campus, Stone Mountain and Tuckaseegee River). If you opt to go on any of these trips there will be a minimal cost (one-day license, leader pack). You will learn more about this on the first day of class but the important thing to remember is that these trips, while encouraged, are not mandatory.
